VLM Airlines has filed for bankruptcy. The move follows the European regional carrier’s motion to apply for bankruptcy protection. All flights have been cancelled with immediate effect. “We are sorry to have to inform you that VLM Airlines NV has filed for bankruptcy on Wednesday June 22 2016. All flights are cancelled with immediate effect,” the Belgian regional carrier said in a statement.
