Virgin Atlantic was in court in the UK yesterday for a hearing regarding its solvent recapitalisation plan announced last month. During the court proceedings, Virgin Atlantic’s disclosed that is has filed for Chapter 15 bankruptcy in the US as part of the same plan. A Virgin Atlantic spokesperson said: “Following the UK hearing held yesterday (4th August), ancillary proceedings in support of the solvent recapitalisation were also filed in the US under their Chapter 15 process.
