Turkish Airlines has reported a 2014 net profit of $845m from $357m for 2013. Operating profit was down 2% at $638m, while sales revenue for the year was up 13% at $11bn on the back of 54.7m passengers, up 13.3% year on year. Load factors were at an average of 79%. ASKs were up 16.3%, resulting in an increase in global market share from 1.6% to 1.8%, which THY wished to double by the end of the decade with a 15% capacity increase (29 aircraft) coming during 2015 alone.
