Southwest Airlines announces executive leadership changes

Low-cost carrier Southwest Airlines has announced a number of changes in its executive leadership, effective from 1 December 2023, to provide what it describes as ‘additional focus and clarity’ in supporting the company’s ‘strategic priorities’. Justin Jones will become executive vice president of operations, leading the team coordinating ‘modernization and oversight of the daily operation of the airlines’. Tony Roach will advance to senior vice president and chief customer officer, overseeing the end-to-end customer experience, and Jason Van Eaton will take the role of senior vice president and chief corporate affairs officer.
