Saudi Arabia’s national flag carrier, Saudia is expanding flight frequencies and seat capacity for the Muslim pilgrimage, Umrah – which will see pilgrims travel to Mecca, Saudi Arabia. The service expansion is being facilitated through the Saudia’s subsidiary Saudia Hajj and Umrah, which is dedicated to services and operations for pilgrims. Another subsidiary initiative is to modernise and develop its aircraft fleet. The subsidiary had recently received a license from the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to serve 10,000 pilgrims.
