Ryanair is to increase the number of destinations it flies to from Shannon Airport in Ireland to 26 with the addition of summer connections to Naples and Porto. The flights are to cater for sun-seeking tourists from Ireland’s west and south and to Portuguese and Italians seeking easy access to the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren, two of island’s leading scenic attractions. Mary Considine Shannon Airport Group chief executive Mary Considine said the new flights would “provide further connectivity for Shannon and the region” and “highlight Shannon’s continued growth since the pandemic”.
