Qantas is all set to resume its Brisbane – Wellington route using its regional unit QantasLink by deploying the Embraer 190 starting October 2023. The first flight is set for October 29th, when airlines in the Southern Hemisphere switch to summer schedules As of now, New Zealand has no flights served by Embraer 190. The Embraer-190 is ideal for this route as the Wellington airport is known for its short runway and windy conditions. The E-190 to be used for this service is wet-leased from Alliance Airlines.
