Qantas Airways has demanded an explanation from rolls-Royce as further oil leaks have been found in its A380 engines. The airline is demanding to know why there have been so many maintenance issues with the troubled engines. On two occasions in February, the airline stated that Qantas A380 pilots had to reduce power on one of the aircraft’s four engines to idle following alerts that oil levels were falling. A loose fitting was later blamed for the malfunction. The Australian Transport Safety Bureau is investigating the incidents.
