A Pegasus Airlines 737 crash landed at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport yesterday. The airline confirmed today that there have been three fatalities with 179 injured passengers being treated in hospital. The pictures on various media outlets show the aircraft skidding off the runway after landing and breaking apart.  Istanbul Governor Ali Yerlikaya said in a statement that the “Pegasus Airlines plane couldn’t hold on the runway due to poor weather conditions and skidded for around 50-60m” before falling off the end of the runway.  An investigation has been opened into the cause of the crash. Transport Minister Mehmet Cahit Turhan
