Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has slashed fares on its Beijing flights by 30%, effective immediately to encourage more travelers from both countries. The latest discount will be available to all passengers, regardless of travel class. The airline currently operates a weekly flight between Islamabad International Airport (ISB) and Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) each Sunday using its Boeing 777 fleet. China is a popular destination for Pakistani students with about 28,000 students currently studying in China. Pakistan and China have also partnered up for a Year of Tourism initiative over 2023 to facilitate greater travel between the two countries.
