The Nepalese finance ministry will act as guarantor on a loan for Nepal Airlines (NAC) to purchase two new A330-200 aircraft. Once the purchase is finally approved by the government, NAC will purchase the first aircraft by next September and the second by March 2018. The airline is seeking new aircraft in order to reduce maintenance and crew training costs. Currently, NAC operates a fleet of five aircraft, which include Boeing, Airbus, Twin Otter, MA60 and Y12e.
