Malaysia Airlines is all set to receive its first Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, almost seven years after placing the order. Malaysia Airlines had placed an order for 25 737 MAX 8s and options for another 25 aircraft in 2016. Last year and Malaysia Airlines signed a deal with Air Lease Corporation, for long-term leases on the 25 new MAX 8s it had initially ordered from Boeing.
