Lufthansa has placed a firm order for 30 A320neo-family aircraft. The contract firms up the Lufthansa Supervisory Board’s selection of the A320neo family in March. The order comprises 25 A320neo aircraft and five A321neos. Lufthansa has selected Pratt & Whitney PurePower PW1100G engines to power its A320neo-family jets. Lufthansa already operates or has on order 157 existing A320-family aircraft and its various subsidiaries operate nearly 100.
