LATAM reports February passenger traffic increase but drop in cargo

LATAM’s February 2023 passenger traffic was up almost 30% on the same month the year before, with the load factor hitting almost 82%, a 2.1 percentage point year-on-year increase. The carrier group said it would start flying from São Paulo/Guarulhos to Passo Fundo, with daily flights starting on March 28 and from Bogota and Riohacha, starting the same day. During the month, LATAM Cargo received its 17th aircraft, a converted Boeing 767-300 passenger jet. The fleet addition came after its February 2023 cargo load factor fell 8.7 percentage points year-on-year to 52.8%.
