ITA Airways plans to add 39 Next-Gen aircraft

ITA Airways is all set to increase its fleet by adding 39 new-generation aircraft including nine widebody A330-900 and 30 narrowbody aircraft. At the same time, ITA plans to phase out the previous generation aircraft. The new fleet will add a 73% capacity increase in terms of seats offered per km on the entire ITA network compared to 2022. With the fleet modernisation, ITA Airways has plans to open new Middle Eastern destinations like Riyadh, Jeddah, and Kuwait City, expanding its network and strengthening its connectivity through its Rome Fiumicino Hub.
