Low-cost carrier IndiGo Airlines has stated it will add 14 more aircraft to its fleet and recruit 1,500 people under its expansion plan for the next financial year. “In the next financial year, we are going to add 14 planes to our fleet, taking their number to 53,” said Sanjay Kumar, chief commercial officer of IndiGo. Kumar also said that the private airline plans to add a workforce of 1,500 employees in 2011-12, and by adding new flights between August and September IndiGo was planning to connect south-east Asia and West Asia.
