Hong Kong Airlines plans to begin trans-Pacific operations to North America in 2017 with the start of services to Vancouver. Effective 30 June next year, Hong Kong Airlines will operate daily direct flights between Hong Kong and Vancouver using its 283-seat, two-class Airbus A330-200 aircraft. The airline will compete with Air Canada and Cathay Pacific on the route.
