Hong Kong Airlines has confirmed that it will cancel flights to Auckland, New Zealand as part of “adjustments to its business strategy”. The airline said it would add a fourth daily flight to Beijing from April 14, returning to its more traditional focus on Asian destinations. Hong Kong Airlines, backed by HNA Group, also pulled out of the Australia market in 2018, cutting flights to Cairns and the Gold Coast. It also operated short-lived flights to Moscow and cut the number of flights it operated per week to Vancouver and San Francisco.
