The chairman of Hainan Airlines has stepped down from his position for the second time. Xie Haoming, who was also company director, has cited “job changes” as the reasoning behind his departure. The airline has not disclosed what date Xie will step down. However, the airline was quick to stress that it has a commitment to name a new chairman “as soon as possible in accordance with legal procedures.” Xie’s first stint as chairman of the airline lasted one year from 2016. He was then reappointed as chairman in January 2019.
