More than 100 flights have been cancelled this morning due to dense fog at two UK airports – London Heathrow and London City. Foggy conditions in the south east and east of England are expected to ground flights throughout the day Heathrow and London City. Heathrow airport confirmed 63 inbound and 78 outbound flights had been cancelled during the day by airlines. Although flights were cancelled at London City Airport, restrictions were lifted by mid-morning. Gatwick airport said it was experiencing low visibility but it had caused no disruption to flights, while Stansted said today had been “business as usual”.
