Flybe passenger numbers rose by 7.7% to 1.98m in the three months to June 30, 2011. Revenue also climbed during the period by 8.3% to £160.4m, while revenue per seat increased by 4.9% to £48.09. The airline’s on time performance improved slightly during the period with 87.1% of flights landing on time– up from the 85.4 per cent recorded in the first quarter of 2010. Flybe has hedged 79% of its fuel costs for the next two years at $851 per tonne.
