Finnair announces SAF deal for flights out of Helsinki

Finnair has purchased 750 tons of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to fuel flights departing Helsinki Airport, with passengers paying a “small part of the price of each flight ticket” towards the cost of flying on SAF. Fuel producer Neste is to deliver the consignment to the airport “in early 2023”.  Finnair said it is the biggest batch of SAF it has purchased and “corresponds to approximately 400 flights between the Finnish capital and Stockholm. “Finnair celebrates its 100th anniversary this year and reducing emissions from flying is essential to a sustainable future. In the coming years, sustainable aviation fuel will
