Several Filipinos that arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport on Saturday afternoon from Japan have complained that their desperate situation had been taken advantage of. One woman claimed the plane ticket from Japan booked last Friday cost around P160,000 compared to just P30,000 in the past. However Philippine Airlines, has stated that it did not raise its airfare and that ticket prices would vary depending on which agency passengers bought tickets from. As a result, PAL advises customers to buy tickets online instead of through travel agencies.
