African low-cost carrier Fastjet has stated that non-executive director Robert Burnham will now seek to keep his post on the board. The airline had planned on him stepping down at the airline’s annual meeting of shareholders. Another non-executive director, Bryan Collings, has resigned from the board with immediate effect. Last week, Fastjet said it did not believe it had breached a brand licence agreement with easyGroup Holdings Ltd, owned by billionaire investor Stelios Haji-Ioannou, which owns a 13% stake in the airline. EasyGroup had alleged that Fastjet had breached the deal.
