Etihad has released plans to add more destinations in India as well as beefing up capacity from Delhi and Mumbai. Etihad is evaluating routes to Amritsar, Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Jaipur, and if it gets the required regulatory approvals, expects to add them to its network this year. The Abu-Dhabi-based airline is also considering adding Goa to its network. Under the UAE-India air traffic rights bilateral agreement, Etihad can operate 13,330 seats per week on the India-Sharjah route but it is negotiating with the Indian government to increase the number of seats.
