EASYJET PASSENGER TRAFFIC JUMPS 10% IN NOVEMBER
Low cost carrier easyJet carried 3.69 million passengers in November, a 10.2% rise over the same month in 2009. The airline’s load factor was also up from 84.8% to 85.7%. easyJet carried 49.5 million passengers in the 12 months to November 2010, which is also up from 45.8 million passengers in the same period a year ago. The healthy traffic numbers and the announcement from easyJet that its full year profit grew almost threefold caused analysts to reiterate their “buy” rating. EasyJet has also announced it will pay its first dividend in 2012.
