Dubai World passenger traffic nearly doubles in first half

Passenger traffic at Al Maktoum International at Dubai World Central (DWC) nearly doubled in the first half of the year, largely due to the launch of flydubai services there in late 2015. Dubai Airports has confirmed that the airport handled 410,278 passengers in the six months to June 30 compared to 209.989 passengers in the year ago period.
