Delta reports financial and operating performance for December 2016

Delta Air Lines has reported consolidated passenger unit revenue (PRASM) for the month of December was flat year over year, driven by strong demand trends and improving close-in domestic yields as Delta’s capacity actions and revenue management strategies continue to benefit results. Delta’s December total system traffic increased by 2.6% to 16,800,042 passengers compared to the same period last year, with a 0.9 percentage point increase in load factor to 85.3%. For the 12 months to December 2016, Delta traffic rose by 1.7% to 213,088,842 with a slight dip in load factor to 84.6%.
