Nigeria’s Dana Air said it had commenced preliminary training to become compliant with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) in order to meet theDecember 31, 2014 deadline set for all airlines in the continent by IATA. Dana Air is one of the 10 African airlines benefitting from the IOSA implementation training initiative that is 100 per cent funded by International Airline Training Fund (IATF), a non-profit foundation, whose purpose was to bridge the training gaps for airlines in regions of the world where it was most needed, with a particular focus on improving safety.
