China Eastern Airlines launched a new non-stop route connecting Changi Airport and Beijing Daxing, bringing flight levels between Singapore and China closer to pre-pandemic numbers. Going ahead the airline also plans to increase the frequency of flights serving Shanghai Pudong International Airport. The airline operated its inaugural flight on July 20, upon touchdown at Changi Airport, passengers were welcomed with special treats. China Eastern Airlines will operate this new non-stop route with one daily flight service, allowing the airline to competitively ferry an estimated 2,058 passengers from Beijing-Daxing to Singapore weekly.
