Analysts are expecting British Airways to announce a half year profits when its half-year interim report is published on Friday. Last year the airline recorded a £292 million half-year loss but this year analysts are expecting it to make pre-tax profits of £73 million. Blighted by strikes, last year was the first time the airline had recorded a half-year loss highlighting its poor summer season. Friday’s expected results show the airline bouncing back to normal level even despite the ongoing strikes.
