British Airways is halting its twice daily flight to Sydney to one departure per day, which will stop in Singapore. The current Boeing 777 aircraft operating the route will be replaced with a Boeing 747, which can accommodate more passengers. Last week the airline also cut its London to Sydney via Bangkok route. BA passengers bound for Australia via Bangkok will have to transfer to a Qantas aircraft to complete the journey. BA is increasing its Hong Kong service, however, expanding to thrice weekly, or 17 flights each way between Heathrow and Hong Kong International Airport.
