Boeing has settled 90 % of the wrongful death claims over the 2018 crash of a 737 Max jet operated by Lion Air, according to a US court filing. Claims relating to 171 of the 189 people on the crashed Lion Air flight have been settled, the US airframe maker said on Tuesday a filing with a federal court in Chicago. The filing did not say how much Boeing paid in compensation. A year ago, Boeing said it would offer US$100 million to support the families of victims and communities of those affected by the crashes.
