Channel Islands airline Blue Islands will begin weekly flights between the Channel Islands and Chambery, near the French Alps, from this winter. The service will operate every Saturday from Guernsey via Jersey from 15 December 2012 to 13 April 2013. The new route is aimed at skiers who wanted to avoid flying via the UK.
