A new charging structure unveiled by UK airports operator will include domestic airlines in the same band as airline entering from Europe. From April 2011, BAA intends to raise charges by over 66% for each departing domestic passenger. BAA is streamlining its existing three categories of passengers – domestic, Republic of Ireland and international – to two: European and everyone else. However there are savings to be made elsewhere as BAA will redeuce transfer fees by 25% for passengers who arrive on one flight and leave on another. British Midland International (Bmi) has complained to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA)
