It is being widely reported, although unconfirmed, that Brazilian airline Azul has approached Chile’s bankrupt LATAM Airlines Group with the aim of buying its Brazilian operation. Reuter broke the story earlier this week. Shares in Azul rose on the news. LATAM has denied the reports and said it had not received any offers and did not intend to sell any of its businesses.
