Avianca closed 2022 with 87% of pre-pandemic passenger traffic

Avianca closed 2022 on a strong note with 24.6 million passengers, operating over 187,000 flights and launching 21 new routes connecting markets across the Americas, the airline said. Currently the airline covers 24 countries and 125 routes averaging over 3,800 weekly flights and 650,000 seats. Avianca mainly operates from Colombia, although it has branches in Costa Rica and Ecuador as well. In 2022, Avianca re-introduced direct UK-Bogota route with 14 weekly flights to London.
