Anti-European Union Emissions Trading Scheme countries are meeting in India or Russia next month to discuss retaliatory action to the scheme. Some of the ideas raised to launch joint action include imposing curbs on airlines flying in and out of destinations in the East. Those opposed say that the EU ETS is an unfair tax imposed without taking the consent of rest of the world, making the move inconsistent with international law. And others are that ETS will not keep emissions caused by airlines in control.
