American Airlines recently took delivery of its 50th B737 MAX 8, almost six years after receiving its first MAX jet. The aircraft flew from Boeing Field (BFI) in Seattle to American’s hub at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) on July 19. The airline placed order for 50 737 MAX and plans to operate a fleet of 130 MAX. The airline still has 80 more MAX to be delivered. The airline’s MAXs can seat up to 172 passengers in a two-class configuration – 16 in business and 156 in economy.
