airBaltic in January 2021 carried 44,400 passengers or 86% less than the year before. On just 900 flights from 4,529 in January 2020 (81% down). Martin Gauss, Chief Executive Officer of airBaltic: “Today we still maintain connectivity to major European business and transit hubs for those passengers that need to travel for essential reasons. It is a significant part of our commitment to the Baltic markets and the reason why our market share continues to grow despite lower traffic figures.”
