Air New Zealand has launched a new codeshare deal with ANA that it hopes will boost its market share in Japan. The national carrier’s direct Auckland-to-Tokyo flight yesterday was its first under the new arrangement, which gives Air New Zealand passengers access to domestic destinations in Japan. Deputy chief executive Norm Thompson said the airline was also keen to put its code on ANA services to London, giving passengers the choice of flying through Tokyo to Britain.
