New start-up airline, Air Costa Rica, has sent its first aircraft, a 737-300, into Cooperativa Autogestionaria de Servicios Aeroindustriales (Coopesa) for maintenance work ahead of its July launch date. The aircraft, which was acquired by sister Air Panama, will be painted all white to include the Air Costa Rica blue and red logo and the flag of Costa Rica on its tail. Air Costa Rica will take delivery of three more aircraft, one more 737-300 and two Fokker 100s. The airline will first fly to charter destinations in South American before launching scheduled flights in November to Guatemala.
