Profit was up 2% At Air Arabia and turnover rose 22% to reach AED 592 million in the three months to June 2011. Air Arabia’s net profit rose to AED 51 million, compared to AED 50 million in the corresponding period in 2010. The airline exceeded analyst expectation in the face of turmoil in the region. The airline carried 1,161,944 passengers in the second quarter of 2011, an increase of 5% compared to 1,108,310 passengers in the same period last year. Average seat load factor remained at 82.5%.
