Boeing has recently announced it is investigating how to increase the seating capacity of its 777 300ER by reducing the size of the lavatories. The aircraft manufacturer says its can add up to 14 extra seats giving airlines room to improve their unit passenger margins. By reducing the weight of the 777 series by off 1,200 lbs, Boeing also claims it can improve the fuel consumption by 5%.
