AFI KLM E&M TAKES OVER FULL OWNERSHIP OF AMG
AFI KLM E&M has taken over full ownership of Aero Maintenance Group (AMG) when it increased its equity stake in Aero to 100% on January 21. This is result of a partnership forged in 2005, and a key growth driver for AFI KLM E&M in the Americas.
Christian Tallec, who has over twenty years’ experience within Air France, most recently as Head of its Operations Control Center and as AFI KLM E&M Vice President Sales and Marketing, has become chief executive officer of AMG.
“This important step,” Tallec says, “marks AFI KLM E&M’s strategic ambition to grow in the Americas. We are ready to take up a considerable challenge, namely to become the supplier of choice for airlines in North and South America, in a region accounting for almost 40% of the global market.”
Mike Olesik becomes chief operating officer. Olesik has over thirty years of aviation-related experience mostly in the engineering & maintenance divisions of various airlines in the US. Until recently he was vice president and general manager of AMG’s Air-Pro.
