AAR announces the US Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) has awarded its Airlift division a contract to provide dedicated rotary-wing airlift services to US Africa Command (USAFRICOM) throughout four Central African countries. The government has dismissed a protest – which was filed upon award to AAR in May – and AAR will begin performance on the contract in October. Under the contract, AAR will perform rotary-wing passenger and cargo transportation services and logistics support for Allied Forces.
