TSA TO REVIEW SCREENING PROCEDURES

The US Transportation Security Administrator (TSA) has publically stated that it will review airline passenger screening procedures after a flurry of protests over its current “invasive” procedures.

The TSA’s John Pistole told NBC’s Today show and ABC’s Good Morning America that the security service will review their screening procedures to ensure they are effective whilst being the least invasive possible. “What I’m doing is going back and looking at, are there less invasive ways of doing the same type of screening?” he told ABC.

However he defended the current methods, which includes full-body imaging scanners and physical pat-downs for air passengers who opt out of the scans. He also said that the procedures were unlikely to change immediately.
