Goshawk Concludes NEO Sale and Leaseback Transaction with IndiGo

On August 25, Goshawk, the aircraft leasing company owned by Chow Tai Fook Enterprises, NWS Holdings and Investec Bank, signed a sale and leaseback transaction with IndiGo Airlines for five aircraft. The transaction will see the introduction of its first A320 NEO aircraft. The five aircraft will be delivered between November 2015 and June 2016.

Riyaz Peermohamed, Chief Aircraft Acquisition & Financing Officer at IndiGo said: “This will further enhance our relationship with Goshawk, and we are delighted with this growing relationship.”

Peter Watson, Chief Commercial Officer of Goshawk, said: “Goshawk has built a fleet of young, current generation aircraft and we are delighted to enhance our portfolio with the addition of our first NEO aircraft. This is an exciting transaction for Goshawk and we are thrilled that we have concluded this landmark transaction with IndiGo.”

Goshawk was established in November 2013 as an aircraft leasing platform focused on building an asset portfolio of young, new technology, in-production aircraft with a large and diversified asset-type and operator base. With support from its principal shareholders, Goshawk has grown to 60 delivered and committed aircraft worth ~US$2.5 billion since inception.
