NAC acquires ATLAS 2014-1 E note; attracts takeover bidders

Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) has acquired all of the aircraft assets owned by Aldus Aviation Fund (AAF) through the acquisition of the e-note in the ATLAS 2014-1 ABS transaction.

Since 2016, NAC has managed 29 E-jets owned by AAF which are currently on lease to 9 airlines including HOP!, Flybe and Royal Air Maroc.

The acquisition brings NAC’s owned fleet to 413 aircraft.

Meanwhile, Bloomberg has published an unconfirmed report that private-equity investors Carlyle and Blackstone, as well as China’s AVIC, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, and Singapore sovereign wealth fund GIC, have expressed interest in taking over NAC. None of the parties have commented publicly on the report.
