NEW STRIKE BALLOT FOR BA CABIN CREW
Unite union representing cabin crew for British Airways will hold a new ballot for industrial action in their ongoing dispute with the airline on March 1, which will remain open until March 28.
The union has been forced to re-ballot members after BA successfully argued the previously ballot was unlawful.
Unite has accused BA of refusing to return to the negotiating table, saying that “systemic anti-union activity” at the company was preventing headway which has led to the need for a new ballot.
A spokesman for BA said it wanted the strike to end, as did everyone other than a “tiny minority of hard-liners”. But if there was another strike, the airline would implement its “well-established contingency plans”.
